FashFest – The Mystery Continues

Last night the organisers of Canberra’s impending FashFest were busy with Form Haircutting photographing models in an underground carpark.  How do we know this?  Well, as series of photographs appeared online via the @fashfest Twitter account (see images after the jump).  Clearly activity is building prior to the shows that are scheduled to occur in early May, we just seem to know where and how.  Hmmm…

FashFest 2013 – Canberra’s New Look

The New Year has started with a bang for a little project aiming to lift the profile of Canberra’s fashion scene to a whole new level.  Last year’s Avant Garden event by Hannah St James as well as an incredibly well received Kinetic show from the CIT graduating students proved there is an appetite in town for both conceptual and mainstream shows.  Perhaps there is opportunity for something even bigger?

Well, this is kind of a big deal.  This weekend Hotel Realm plays host to Avant Garden – a celebration of Canberra’s best and brightest, featuring local designers, top models, makeup artists and hair stylists.  If you’ve got an eye for fashion, this is one event not to be missed.

For coffee drinkers, few moments of the day are treasured more than that first sip of coffee.  For the truly dedicated, the sights, smells and sounds of a coffee shop signify a votive experience.  While there are plenty locals who identify as the former, The Canberran is looking for someone who is proud to be the latter.
