FashFest LogoThose who attended the inaugural year would have been amazed by the quality of the music from day one. We remember being particularly impressed by a lovely bunch of lads who took control of Night Two of Fashfest 2013, who are now very well-known across Australia: SAFIA.

This year will be no different. After two years in the very capable hands of Michael Liu, the Gentleman DJ himself, Ashley Feraude is stepping in as Musical Director, and is very excited about how the programme is shaping up for this year’s event. Naturally, we wondered what was in store…

Farewell Foreshore… for sure?

Surely Canberra’s favourite festival had a secure future thanks to a dedicated crowd that had repaid the dedication shown by the event’s organisers? The Weekend: National Multicultural Festival

The temporary stalls have been under construction for a number of weeks now.  Come Friday night City Walk, Garema Place and the Theatre forecourt will be jam-packed with revellers making the absolute most of a warm summer’s night, singing, dancing, food and drinks and all that we’ve come to love of the National Multicultural Festival.

It really is one of the most fun weekends of the year.

The Weekend: Foreshore

If there is one sure way to tell warmer days are here is the arrival of music festivals. Over the last four years, Canberra’s own celebration of summer is Foreshore has grown to be tue highlight of the local scene. This Saturday the fifth edition of this highly successful event launches on the lawns of Old Parliament House (God only knows what the Tent Embassy makes of it all!)
