Well, while not quite underground, Space Kitchen has opened, and we were certainly intrigued to see who heads to Woden on a weekend for brunch in a car park.

Canberra Secrets: The Turkish Halal Pide House

Here at The Canberran, we’re more than a little partial to exploring the latest dining trends and trailing a targeted tastebud over recent wine releases.

However, sometimes all you need is a bit of comfort food – something that is fast and filling and great value – and there are few places in Canberra that do this any better than Yarralumla’s Halal Turkish Pide House. If you are a recent Canberran who is yet to discover local institution, you’re having it for dinner tonight.

The Weekend: National Multicultural Festival

The temporary stalls have been under construction for a number of weeks now.  Come Friday night City Walk, Garema Place and the Theatre forecourt will be jam-packed with revellers making the absolute most of a warm summer’s night, singing, dancing, food and drinks and all that we’ve come to love of the National Multicultural Festival.

It really is one of the most fun weekends of the year.
