Mondayitis Cabaret – XXXmas at The Abbey

So, it’s that time of year where we have to ask if you’ve been have you been naughty or nice.  In keeping with this theme, Mondayitis Cabaret is hosting an evening of Burlesque at The Abbey (yes, tantalising teases in an old church – naughty and nice!), and the beauty is that, as well as being a lot of fun, this now regular event will be raising funds for a good cause.

This is the second year the gang has hosted this event and, as was the case last year, money raised is going to the ACT Domestic Violence Crisis Centre.  It’s an important organisation providing crisis care and accommodation (as well as  a multitude of other devices) for local victims of domestic violence.

“We’re incredibly excited about our line-up for ‘XXXMas’” says Artistic Director Chocolate e Claire “It’s always exciting to see who has donated their time and talents to each show.  We have a particularly exciting line-up this time around and it includes our first solo boylesque performance!”

Production manager Ivy Ambrosia is excited too; “We have a wonderful line-up this time around, we’re particularly excited about local burlesque heroines Deb Delicious and Cherry Blossom!  Deb Delicious is an icon of the Canberra burlesque scene and an amazing performer and Cherry Blossom is fresh from a win at Sydney’s Black Cherry Club Burlesque Knockout, which I think just highlights the brilliance of our local performers.”
