Miss World Fundraiser

You may recall The Canberran found Daniella at the Kingston Bus Depot Markets a couple of months ago. Given her pretty outfit we put her in an edition of Dress Circle. A week or two later we discovered Daniella was competing in the Miss World competition and was one of three ladies from the ACT vying for the People’s Choice Award in the hope of gaining automatic entry to the final of the competition. DANIELLA DID IT! This week she’ll be heading off to receive the award for People’s Choice at the National Finals of Miss World Australia at Uluru (from the 27th of June to 1st of July) to take on the other top 23 contestants from around Australia.
As part of her ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ initiative Daniella is holding a charity fundraiser on TONIGHT (Monday 25th of June). Money raised will go to her favourite charity – the Indigenous Lilla Community – that Daniella will be visiting in Uluru.
The event is being held at Brodburger/Canberra Glass Works with the Canberra Swing Dancers performing for our entertainment, Models will be available for photos with the public and also will be selling raffle tickets. Prizes include a $500 gift voucher from Spurling Formalwear, a $300 gift voucher from Ambia designer collections and a $200 dinner voucher from Trattoria at the Hellenic Club plus much, much more.
$10 donation entry with one free alcoholic beverage and finger food will be provided Daniella promises subsequent bevvies are a bargain at just $5 and all money raised goes to the Lilla Community.
So get glam, get involved and head down to the Foreshore this evening. It’s a fun event with proceeds going to a good cause. Congratulations Daniella, and all the best for the finals this weekend!
