‘Help from the Underground’ Fashion Show – Wrap Up.

by The Editor

Well, what a success that was! Pulled together in only two weeks by Clinton Hutchinson and his staff at Zoo Advertising, over 400 Canberrans huddled together on a Tuesday night in a basement car park to see an amazing range of designs based on clothing available from St Vincent de Paul op shops.

The evening ended up raising over $12,000 – an achievement the organisers, volunteers, sponsors and audience should be very impressed by. This was part of Clinton’s participation in the CEO Sleepout challenge, an annual event aimed at improving the lives of those less fortunate within our community.

Throw together the energy of a collection of highly motivated organisers, models, dancers and musicians along with a stirring tale of return from the brink by ‘Anthony’ – a beneficiary of the services provided by Vinnies, and you’ve got one hell of an evening.

Truly, Help from the Underground was one impressive event. We expect this to be back next year on an even greater scale. Our congratulations to all those involved.

Well done!
